Day 8-B

And I were [all] laughing and bemoaning the constant recycling of rocks and marble. First, there was a Greek pagan temple. Then when Christianity dawned, they knocked it down to construct the basilica [out of the same cut marble blocks].  Then when Islam came through, they knocked down some of the protective walls to construct a mosque. It’s both beautiful and yet terribly disrespectful and disappointing.
