Day 11-A

On the Boat

I love and

I love the sea and

there is no love like the

love of the sea for

she, oh she,

of tantalizing beauty so free,

is in and around and

under me.

The sea, oh she,

who sweetly enchants me

incorrigibly –

to her I am bound, but

I’d hate to be free.

I love and

I love the sea and

there is no love like the

love of the sea for

she, oh she,

who sings sweet gentle tunes to me

of morning joys and reverie

and sometimes a dark soliloquy,

has taken my heart and

torn it in three

and left no part in my chest for me –

if she’d not gone and tak’n it

so forcibly,

I’d have happ’ly giv’n it, for

I’d hate to be free

In the Water

I am and I am and

I am the sea and

there is no being lie being the sea

for I am everything and

everything is me –

no man can love till

he learns to fear me for

any young boy can fear and flee

but the man who fear yet

still chases me, despite

my tactics and trickery,

even though I may turn him away

furiously,

is a man who know how to

love properly.

I am and I am and

I am the sea and

there is no being like being the sea

for I taunt and I tease incorrigibly –

I pretend that I love you,

then decimate thee –

and yet, men pursue me fastidiously

for I am everything and everything’s me:

the mist that you see and

the root of each tree owes its

life unto me.
